Mount Vernon: The Skagit Valley Chorale presents "Heralding Christmas 2009" a mixed-voice chorale concert directed by Janet Skones Hitt, Wednesday, December 9th, at 7:30 PM and Sunday, December 13th, at 2:00 PM, in McIntyre Hall performing Arts and Convention Center, 2501 East College Way, Mount Vernon, Washington.

Tickets are on sale now at McIntyre Hall, 2500 E. College Way, Mount Vernon, WA, Tuesdays through Saturdays from noon to 6:00 PM., at www.mcintyrehall.org, or by calling McIntyre Hall directly: 360-416-7727 or toll free at 866-624-6897. Prices are $25 for box seats and $16 for all house seats. Seniors and students receive a $2 discount and groups of 10 or more receive a $4 discount. (Discounts are not available for "On-Line" orders.)
Ms. Skones Hitt is an award-winning chorale conductor in her sixth year with the Skagit Valley Chorale. She currently teaches music in the Everett School School District. Over the past 24 years she has served as an honor choir clinician adjudicating throughout the state for both large groups and ensemble festivals. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Seattle Pacific University and was awarded the MPMEA Region "2006 Music Teacher of the year". This past holiday season she directed the combined Skagit Symphony and the Skagit Valley Chorale in three sold-out performances of Handel's Messiah with Roupen Shakarian, Symphony Conductor.
The Skagit Valley Chorale is a mixed adult choir of over one hundred thirty voices.

The Skagit Valley Chorale is seeking tenors, baritones and basses for our annual winter concert: "Hearlding Christmas 2009", to be held December 9th and 13th at Mcintyre Hall in Mt. Vernon. Rehearsals begin in September and meet every Tuesday from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Rehearsals are held at the Mount Vernon Prespyterian Church, 1511 East Broadway. (At this time the Chorale is not accepting female voices.)
