Members backstage

The Chorale is a non-audition community choir that welcomes singers with basic singing and music sight-reading skills. A simple vocal range evaluation of new members is conducted to confirm that they are able to match pitch and carry a tune, and to ensure placement in the proper choir section. If you're interested in joining us and would like additional information, please click the link below or email us using the contact form on the left. When sending an email, please include any prior singing experience and which part you believe you sing.

Overall membership in the Chorale is near capacity and the Soprano and Alto sections have reached capacity. Therefore, the Chorale is only accepting applications for male voices in the Tenor and Bass sections. However, once we resume rehearsals in the future, anyone wishing to join may show up between 6:00-6:30 pm during the first three rehearsals of the semester (September & January) and request to be added to the waiting list. As openings become available, those on the waiting list will be given priority. Keep an eye on this page for news about our future reharsal plans!

Due to the recent increase in new COVID cases, the Chorale Board has decided to postpone in-person rehearsals.  We will continue to monitor federal, state, local and various choral organizations recommendations to determine when it’s safe to resume in-person rehearsals.  Rehearsals will be via Zoom until then.

In the meantime, we are asking members to show up masked at the Salem Lutheran Church on September 7, 2021, between 6:30-7:30 PM, to drop off any old music they have, pick up new music for the Christmas concert, update their contact information, and show their proof of COVID vaccination.  This will help to avoid time being spent when in-person rehearsals resume.
